I AS MANY GREW UP WATCHING THIS SERIES AS A KID, THE MEMORIES INSTILLED IN MY MIND FOREVER. WE ARE SO HAPPY IT IS ON DVD!!!!! CAN NOT WAIT FOR SEASON 2 & THE REST OF THE SEASONS THANK- YOU VERY MUCH!!!! THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Back Mr. Kotter. I remember watching it on Nick at Night in elementary school and it was funny. Horshack is the funniest guy ever and so are the other guys. Up your nose with a rubber hose is what Travolta's character says and it's funny. Each character has their own funny signature line. Washington's is "Hey there". Horshack's is "Hi, how ya doing, I'm Arnold HORSHACK". These episodes will have you laughing for hours, and I wish they'd put all the seasons on DVD. They seem to have all the newer shows all seasons but the older shows that Nickelodeon used to play they only have Season One leaving you wanting more! Not fair! Either way these beginning episodes will have you laughing no doubt. If you don't laugh at Horshack, you have no soul!

What a wonderful show this was - made big stars of John Travolta and Lawrence Hilton Jacobs (who went on to star in Mod Squad). It was funny then and it still is funny today. The cast is marvelous. I loved it back then and even more now. Good CLEAN comedy. This is a very good quality dvd and I highly recommend it to everyone. I can hardly wait for the other seasons to come out on dvd.

Not much to say here except THIS DVD IS SO AMAZINGLY FUNNY! The humour is so unique to the time and characters themselves. Being born in the late 80's, it's a little past 'my time' but thanks to reruns in the mid to late 90's, this here-girl was introduced to the brilliant talent that is Gabe Kaplan and his insane Sweathog students. Kaplan plays the iconic Mr. Kotter teaching the likes of Arnold Horshack ("Hiii... How are ya? I'm Arnold Horshack... Ha... ha... ha..."), Freddy 'Boom Boom' Washington ("Hi there.... I didn't have my homework, HANDY..."), Juan Epstein ("I have a note from my mother...") and the ever-so memorable Vinnie Barberino ("Up your nose with a rubber hose!" and later "I'm so confused!!!!") played by a young, pre-Grease John Travolta.
A WONDERFUL DVD set in a cool cardboard-slip case. I can't wait for Season 2!!!
