My husband's boss put this on his desk & everyone in the office comes in to play with this! They normally wouldn't go near his office, but rumors spread how great this was! It arrived very well packaged/protected & was ready to go!! I bought 4 and am glad I did. Everyone wants one!!

The item I received is of such poor quality I'm surprised Amazon would allow such an item to be sold under the Amazon.Com umbrella.
The Newton's Cradle I received was a problem out of the box. The holes in the base of the item are so misaligned with the hardware the unit had to be forced together. Making a poor product even worse, one of the balls - which are held in place with spit and fishing line - came loose and was impossible to reattach. How anyone could sell this item for more than $0.50 is beyond my understanding.
I'm giving this item one star because I can't give it zero stars.

Despite the price, this newton's cradle looks and acts very cheap. You can tell where everything is glued on. The first thing that my sister said when she saw it was, "Ohhhh it looks cheap." You should try to find a different one if your willing to spend this much money. It sure is fun though!

Dad had troubles putting the metal bars into the base. Also one of the strings broke off the metal, we fixed it with tape.
