I purchased this for the stand aspect, not the fan part. So, I'm not rating how loud/good the fans work. The idea is awesome, a notebook table that can be adjustable to different positions. The adjustable joint angle is made out of plastic, so this thing will fall apart incredibly easily. The setup also requires a person to press and HOLD the adjustable joint. Why didn't they set this up to press to release, and press to lock? It makes it incredible hard to make adjustments when these joints have to be pressed and held. Overall, a good idea but it needs work. My next route is to try something like the iLap.

This is a great little laptop stand/bed desk. It is a little difficult to adjust, but once you have it dialed in it works fine. I have owned this thing for about a month with the fans running almost the whole time, no problems. The fans pull the hot air away from your lappy instead of blowing air up into it, which also blows dust etc. into your electronics along with the air, bad thing. The aluminum shelf acts like a heat sink, dropping the temp considerably almost negating the need for fans. It is a little rickety when used fully extended, but it is what it is; don't expect it to be a bombproof platform. I included a photo of my setup, along with my pluggable technologies USB hub, works great!

I purchased this item after purchasing another which was a piece of junk. My wife loves it due to the fact the style of the legs allows it to sit on the furniture no matter how wide the cusions are. Has it down on paper the angle of all the legs so she can open it up and set it with no problem. Having the cooler fans is also a benifit. great buy for the price and well made. The stand has three leg sections, sturdy, and practical for my position here over seas. Built in fan runs a little slow but fast enough to keep it cool on the metal plate the comp sits on

I've found the table to be a bit too small for my 17" laptop. The back end of the laptop extends beyond the table by about 1/2". The highly adjustable legs have been wonderful. While I'm recovering from surgery, the legs have allowed for an odd set up that requires different settings on each leg. Most tables do not have that kind of flexibility. It's very lightweight to handle but has been strong enough to support my laptop. I recently discovered that the fans are not powerful enough to keep the laptop cool for a several hours of high graphics usage, i.e., a virtual world. The fans are, however, quite adequate for every other use I've tried, including streaming video. So while not an excellent table for my needs, it has been quite satisfactory and a huge improvement over the first one I tried post-surgery.
