I have searched high and low for years, looking for just the right wallet. This is IT! I carry wallet stlye duplicate checks. The book is top bound, and thicker, plus there is the plastic slider that goes between the sets, then the register book. It all fits in here nice and neat, and no bulging. There's enough room for all my cards, all my pictures, and a few other things. The currency section is so big, I can separate my money and I don't have to fold it. I use the pocket on the back for a few singles, when I need a dollar quick, and I don't want to fumble with my wallet. I have a ton of wallets; they are all going to have cobwebs now, this baby is THE ONE! UPDATE:2011 This is STILL the ONLY wallet I will use. I have a whole duffel bag filled with wallets, as I used to switch every couple of weeks. I purchased this in 2008. I WON'T use another wallet.

Super sized, well made and easy to organize with.
I love having enough credit card slots for all my store brand cards, as well as gift cards. I actually get to use my photo sleeves for photos instead of cards.
This wallet is a great buy, I researched 4 stores and many internet sites before deciding to buy this wallet. I shouldn't be surprised I settled on a Buxton brand, the wallet I was replacing after a decade of use was also a Buxton.

I did not expect the quality for the price. Soft leather, many compartments for anything you need to store. I'm already to buy more for Great Christmas presents next year.

After reading all the great reviews, I was very eager to receive my "super wallet". The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the glue on the snap-flap, under the braided part. I inspected the wallet inside, exploring every compartment and was delighted with everything about the inside! Then I snapped it and wondered if I could tolerate the glue showing. Then I ran my hands over the soft leather and felt a bump where one shouldn't be. It was right in the center front, close to the fold. I tried to mash it smooth. It would not smooth out.
I'm not the type to return a product unless seriously defective. These are blemish flaws that will not hinder the effectiveness of it's purpose. I will keep the wallet, blemishes and all. But after reading the great reviews, I expected perfection.
The wallet has so many compartments! Even a part for the check book that is removable! I love that feature! The removable check book cover has a window for your photo ID. In the main body of the wallet, there are two additional places for your photo ID, ample card slots, and numerous pockets for bills, papers, whatever you need to carry in your wallet - it can handle it! The zippered area has three sections - two open and one small one that is also zippered. My old wallet was filled to bulging. This wallet took all that my old wallet held and I still did not have to use the second snap!
As for the flaws I mentioned earlier, I seriously doubt that many turn out flawed. Otherwise, there would not be so many great reviews.

Purchased this as a stocking stuffer present for the wife based on reviews. First thing I noticed was there is no pen or place to secure one like in the picture. Glue showing under the snap piece as mentioned in another review as well as thread ends showing in seems in the gusseted area. Checkbook cover is not very well made as edges not cut very even when the pieces were sewn together. The leather is nice and soft. Overall this seems like a decent wallet for the price if you can overlook the minor flaws you might or might not receive and can live without the pen and holder.
UPDATE: I was informed from the seller that the current wallets no longer are made with a pen or a pen holder.
